This guitar is a facsimile of an instrument made by Antonio de Torres in 1875. The original guitar had been lent to guitar-makers Daniel and Françoise Sinier de Ridder for a restoration work. I helped them in this task and took this opportunity to take note of its measurements, of the mouting techniques used, the type of woods, of glues and of varnished that were employed in order to make this copy as close to the original as possible. The purpose here is to make a modern instrument with the sound and the looks of the original guitar of the most famous of guitar-makers : Antonio de Torres, the inventor of medern guitar.
