The instruments shown here have all been restored in order to preserve their structure, their ancient varnish and their authentic sound. Each step in the restoration of the instrument is preceded by extensive researches in collections and in public and private documentation centers. For each instrument I establish a note with its precise measurements and many photographs taken before, during and after the restoration process.oration process.
All the instruments presented here have been adjusted. The frets have been either changed or flattened.
All the adjustments, such as the action of the strings, the tuning, and the balance of the microphones have been done to make the playing of the instrument easier and better.
